The Visualization Project

A little bit after Christmas, Rebekah told me and Parker of an idea she'd had. We should make a list of one photography challenge to do each week, she said, and she, Parker, and I should each do a post of them on our blogs. I liked the idea, and we began to brainstorm words to do. The next day, as we talked, an idea came to me. Not expecting her to like it, I decided to propose it anyway. We could start a blog especially for it, I suggested, making whomever wanted to join the challenge an author, thus gathering all of the posts together and making it more official.

Rebekah, seeing the opportunity to design another blog, decided she liked the idea. We wanted to think of a cool cliche' name, but we couldn't and decided to call it The Visualization Project.

There isn't too much to say; this is already rather repeating the introductory post we wrote, but as I did when I began the Photo a Day, I wanted to post something here to introduce it.

With two, perhaps three, other photographers joining us, it is now well established, and we've already had someone from Germany look at it several times.

As I consider where I want to go with my photography, I think this experiment will be a helpful challenge, forcing me to consider my images and work on composing artistic images, not just snapping photos. I will be busy with school, but I intend to attempt to keep up with it. We shall see. So far, as soon as I posted the first one, I wanted to do another.

Please check it out at http://thevisualizationproject.blogspot.com/, the link at the side. We would love to know what you think, so feel free to leave comments!
